Xiao Chai Hu Tang Wan for infections and fever (192 pills)

Xiao Chai Hu Tang Wan is an ancient TCM formula first recorded in in the Treatise on Febrile Disease (Shang Han Lun) in about 280 AD.  Traditionally this formula was used to treat people experiencing symptoms usually associated with chronic Hepatitis B such as loss of appetite, nausea and mild abdominal discomfort.

Nowadays the formula is known in TCM for its antiviral and antibacterial properties, including inhibition of hepatitis B virus and improvement of the immune function and is therefore commonly used in China, in particular for individuals unable to take conventional antiviral therapies.

Xiao Chai Hu Tang Wan is recommended in the following conditions:

  • Hepatitis B;
  • Flu, cold and other common infections’ symptoms such as fever, cough, chills, dry mouth, sore throat, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dizziness, lack of appetite;
  • Abdominal pain;
  • Ribcage pain;

Dosage and administration: Adults, 8 pills 3 times daily.

Due to certain reported side effects it is recommended to use this remedy in consultation with our TCM practitioner.
