Description
Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang Wan for stroke sequelae / post-stroke recovery (200 pills)
Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang Wan is an ancient remedy which has been used for centuries in treatment of various brain disorders including cerebrovascular diseases and to reduce the long term effects of ischemic stroke or brain damage resulting from traumatic injury. To this day, Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang remains one of the most commonly prescribed traditional Chinese herbal formulas for stroke patients, including in clinical settings.
Ischemic stroke is a very serious condition in which the blood flow to a part of the brain is cut off by a blockage such as a blood clot. This condition is a medical emergency. Blockage to the blood flow deprives brain cells of oxygen and nutrients, leading to brain damage which often results in long term disability or death.
This herbal formula is known in TCM for its inflammation relieving and anti-oxidative properties as well as its benefits in supporting a healthy blood flow/microcirculation. This is understood to protect the patient from long term neurological and functional impairment after stroke/brain injury.
Modern research suggests that this formula may be effective in protecting against cerebral infarction (death of brain tissue) and functional impairments following stroke, by relieving multiple pathogenic effects of stroke which contribute to damage or death of brain cells such as oxidative stress, inflammation, vascular damage and increased levels of neurotoxicity in the brain.
Research also suggests that this formula may contribute to a decreased risk of epilepsy and diabetes after stroke.
This remedy is highly recommended in:
- Post stroke recovery treatment;
- Brain damage from traumatic injury;
- As a healthy blood circulation/microcirculation support to reduce blood stasis (impaired blood circulation);
- Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease.
For even better results this remedy can be used in conjunction with other TCM treatments such as acupuncture, and can also be used alongside conventional medical treatments or post-stroke rehabilitation treatments.
